  • First, make sure to pack a lunch before heading out the door every morning. Making this a habit will help you eat healthy from home.
  • Second, continue to get out of the office. If the time away from work is what makes your lunch time a break, a change of scenery while you eat what you brown-bagged will help.
  • Third, curb mid-morning cravings. Craving food increases the chance that you’ll conveniently forget about the lunch you brought, and spend money on something unhealthy instead. Pay attention to when your cravings hit, and begin eating a snack about an hour before that time.
  • Lastly, if push comes to shove, leave your money at home- cash, cards, all of it. You can’t have a restaurant lunch if you can’t pay for it. Eating what you bring from home is healthier for you and for your wallet.
